How do I use WITSportsplex.com to market and promote myself to college coaches and recruiters?
STEP 1
· Create your athletic and academic profile by inputting as much or as little information about the type of student athlete that you are. The more information that you share about your athletic and academic background the easier it will be for coaches to get to know you. If you’re also a top student you may want to post SAT/ACT and GPA scores on your profile page.
STEP 2
· Upload as many photos and videos of you participating in sports as you can. The more photos and videos that you have the better. Your photos and videos will allow coaches and recruiters to see your athletic potential without having to make long expensive road trips.
STEP 3
· Input and display your athletic stats and team or individual schedules on your profile page. Your stats should be validated by your coach to add a high level of integrity to your profile.
STEP 4
· Post your own press clippings and web stories.
STEP 5
· Get as many of your coaches, teammates, classmates and friends to post positive comments about you on your profile page.
STEP 6
· Use the WITSportsplex.com NCAA sports search engine to find colleges and coaches that you would like to make contact with. Click on the email link to the assistant coach, or head coach and then send an email message that specifies why you have made contact with them. Make sure that you include your WITSportsplex.com profile page link so that the coach or assistant coach can view your profile.
STEP 7
· Follow-up with the coach or their assistants by phone or email to see if they have reviewed your profile page and have any interest in visiting you in person.
