Privacy Policy Wireless Intelligent Teenagers, LLC is strongly committed to protecting your privacy. The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform our members what information we collect and how and why we use information that we collect from members who use the WITSPORTSPLEX.COM service.

WITSPORTSPLEX.COM Membership Data

Members of the WITSPORTSPLEX.COM community can enter specific athletic and academic information about themselves and access similar information about other teen athletes who have joined WITSPORTSPLEX.COM. The website also gives members the ability to share and exchange content (photos and videos) with each other. To become a WITSPORTSPLEX.COM member, you must provide your full name, e-mail address, date of birth, gender, and password to register for entrance to the website. You must also create a student athlete profile and list your school and athletic and academic experiences so that our community of student athletes, coaches and college scouts and learn about your unique talents. With the exception of your password and phone number, any information you provide us may be made available for other WITSPORTSPLEX.COM members to view on the website, although you can control who can see certain types of information by adjusting your privacy settings. (See "Information Disclosed and Available To Third Parties" for more information.)

Why We Ask For Personal Information Required Personal Information Every person that registers for WITSPORTSPLEX.COM is required to provide their e-mail address. We require this information so that we can contact our members and so that members have a method for contacting each other. In addition, all members are required to provide their first and last names so that we can personalize our service and identify individuals. We require people to provide their present school and athletic experiences so the content service can be personalized and tailored to match the specific need of each member. Personalization also allows the user generated content that is posted by our members to link with other member profiles who have similar athletic and academic interests, or are from the same school or participate in the same sports genre. 

We require people to enter their date of birth, gender, favorite athletic brands and zip code so that we can better understand the interests and needs of our members enabling our editorial team to provide tailored sports or academic content for our members. Finally, we require members to select a password to ensure that only the person who registered can control their personal information. If you forget your password, it must be reset in the WITSPORTSPLEX.COM system. (See the section on "Security Procedures" for more information.)

Optional Personal Information In addition to the required information, you may provide additional information about yourself such as your photo, your primary sport, position, athletic stats, hobbies, favorite teams, and more. The site allows you to post this information so that we can make it available to other members who wish to learn more about you, and to personalize the service. We also use this information to better understand our members. Providing this information enhances the WITSPORTSPLEX.COM service for both you and other members, but doing so is completely optional. Any such information you give us can be erased from our database at anytime by you without canceling your service. (See the section on "Updating or Removing Your Personal Information" for more information.)

Other Collected Information

While you are on the WITSPORTSPLEX.COM service, we automatically collect additional information about your usage. For example, we will collect your IP address, browser version, and operating system upon entry into WITSPORTSPLEX.COM. We use this information to help diagnose problems with our servers, administer our website, help identify you, and to gather general information. In addition, we collect a log of the pages that members access on our site or from downloading and using our custom desktop application. We use this information to better understand member habits, and personalize the service. We also use a temporary cookie to maintain login sessions that recognizes you while you are using the WITSPORTSPLEX.COM website. Cookies expire after a set amount of time being away from the website. We do not use cookies to find out the identity of any visitor involuntarily. The cookie does not read data off your hard disk.

Updating or Removing Your Personal Information You may update or remove from our database any information you provide us at any time. You can modify your name, e-mail address, and password, but you cannot remove these completely without canceling your membership to the WITSPORTSPLEX.COM service. We provide links to manage your information on your homepage. To view your homepage, login to WITSPORTSPLEX.COM and click on the "Homepage" link at the top left of the page.

Information Disclosed and Available To Third Parties WITH THE EXCEPTION OF YOUR PASSWORD, ANY INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE US MAY BE MADE AVAILABLE FOR OTHER WITSPORTSPLEX.COM MEMBERS TO VIEW ON THE WEBSITE. Although you can limit who has access to your information (such as restricting your profile to be viewed only by people who join as a member of your school), we cannot guarantee 100% that everyone who says they are in your age group or school actually goes is who they say they are. Thus, we recommend not posting any information that is extremely sensitive or that you dont want other people to know. Please see our safety tips page for more information.

In addition, we may share aggregate information with third-party partners. For example, we may tell a potential advertiser that 60 percent of our members are male (this statistic is an example only, not a real statistic). Except as described above for normal use of information, we will not disclose your personal information, unless required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the law or comply with legal demands served on WITSPORTSPLEX.COM ; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of WITSPORTSPLEX.COM; or, (c) protect the personal safety of members of our site or the public. If we sell our company or its assets, your information will be transferred to the buyer, but will still be subject to the terms of this privacy policy.

Communications from WITSPORTSPLEX.COM

There are various types of messages you may receive from WITSPORTSPLEX.COM.

The first message you will likely receive is an invitation to join WITSPORTSPLEX.COM. We send invitations to e-mail addresses entered by current WITSPORTSPLEX.COM members on our website. If you do not wish to be a member of WITSPORTSPLEX.COM, and want to prevent WITSPORTSPLEX.COM members from sending you messages to join WITSPORTSPLEX.COM, you can follow the directions at the end of the e-mail so that you do not receive future invitations to that e-mail address. However, even after you become a member of WITSPORTSPLEX.COM, you may receive invitations to join WITSPORTSPLEX.COM from other members. Soon after you register for WITSPORTSPLEX.COM, you’ll receive an e-mail confirming your membership and ensuring you entered your e-mail address correctly. If you receive such an e-mail, and have not registered for WITSPORTSPLEX.COM, it means you have been registered fraudulently by someone else, and you should follow the directions at the bottom of the e-mail so we can remove the account from the WITSPORTSPLEX.COM system. From time to time, you may also receive messages from WITSPORTSPLEX.COM to announce new features or help you better use the service. You may also receive occasional messages from WITSPORTSPLEX.COM that inform you about the products and services of our partners. Currently the only way to opt out of these messages is to cancel your WITSPORTSPLEX.COM membership. However, WITSPORTSPLEX.COM will never give a list of member e-mail addresses to an advertiser. Finally, you may receive e-mails from us when another WITSPORTSPLEX.COM member wishes to contact you or wants to encourage you to take an action on the website. The member contacting you is NOT given your e-mail address. Because this is a vital part of the WITSPORTSPLEX.COM service, there is no way to remove yourself from these messages without canceling your account.

Security Procedures The security of your information is very important to us. All employees of WITSPORTSPLEX.COM are made aware of its privacy practices through company memos and privacy policy postings on an annual basis. Access to private and confidential data is limited to only those employees with a specific need to retrieve this information. To ensure the utmost in security, internal reviews of our security measures are conducted on a regular basis.

Third-Party Advertisers and Affiliates WITSPORTSPLEX.COM may chose to advertise the products and services of third-party companies to help support our free services. Members may choose to purchase the products and services from other companies that are publicized through WITSPORTSPLEX.COM. This privacy policy does not apply to information you give to these other companies. Any information members give to another company is governed by the rules of that company’s privacy policy that may be different from WITSPORTSPLEX.COM’s. WITSPORTSPLEX.COM takes no responsibility for information given to other companies; please review these companies privacy policies prior to your purchase if you’re concerned.
